Izzak Olejnik on what competition at the D1 level has taught him:
"It has taught me that I am capable of so much more than I think I am. Coming out of high school having placed at the California high school state tournament two times, I set the bar for myself kind of low. I was getting beat up the first couple months in the college room. I do not think I got a takedown the first three months. I continued to work and grow mentally. I figured out that it does not matter what you did in high school, as long as you work as hard as you can, you get better. I try and be the hardest worker in the room every day and that is what I live by."
