On what wrestling at the D1 level has taught him:
"Division 1 wrestling has taught me that no matter what your background was prior, everyone starts fresh in college. It doesn’t matter what you did in high school. It is about the now and using every day to get better... Use every moment you can to give it the most you can out of it. Start early at working hard in college and success will come. Stay humble and keep chugging along. The kid who can get beat up and comes back with a smile on his face is the one who will go far."

Ed Scott on his wrestling style:
"I’d describe my style as a sort of controlled chaos when I am wrestling at my best. I think I would have to attribute my constant attack rate and desire to push the pace to my dad instilling that in me from a young age."

A busy and exciting weekend of wrestling at the 2023 NCAA Championships brought a close to another college wrestling season. Catch up on all of the action with the ultimate recap from Chain Wrestling Contributor Brogan Louden.

"It has taught me that I am capable of so much more than I think I am. Coming out of high school having placed at the California high school state tournament two times, I set the bar for myself kind of low. I was getting beat up the first couple months in the college room. I do not think I got a takedown the first three months. I continued to work and grow mentally. I figured out that it does not matter what you did in high school, as long as you work as hard as you can, you get better. I try and be the hardest worker in the room every day and that is what I live by."
